Read this before you Harpoon - Diesel Forum

I dropped the tank to harpoon my X this morning. Ford already did it! The vent pipe only hung down maybe 1"-2" from the top of the tank.

I have the"Big Gulp" fuel filler. My guess is that the two are connected somehow. If you have the Big Gulp filler (I think that Ford started this in 02, but it may be new for '03), I doubt that you need to Harpoon.

That's good to know . . .I've never really had the fill problem that you read about in the 7.3 forum. (my 2002 - March 2002 build date, has the big gulp filler neck)

My 2001 can handle the BIG RIG pumps and has never spit-up on me either.
