rear clearence lights??

The other day I followed an h2 hummer with the rear clearence lights
and thought it would be kinda cool to have the lights mounted across the top of the hatch door , anyone do this to there X ??

I just looked at mine and I see no spot on the rear liftgate to do this. Another spot would be under the tailgate doors like a dually, that would work better.

Gaining access to the upper part of the hatch could be a bear but not impossible.

Or maybe these Slim LED's which are encased could be an option and they could be mounted on the very end of the roof line before the hatch then you'd have access from inside the headliner.

Make shure they are red, not amber. DOT will frown on amber in the rear.
