Rear Ends

I made the jump, and bought me an "X". It's a 2000 XLT 4x4 PSD. I want to put a lift on it too. What rear ends come in the X's? Are they 10.250 Sterlings? I was told by Ford it's a "Ford WDG Locker". What does everyone else have in their 2000? What comes on the front? Is it a Dana 60 reverse rotation? I'm going to need to gear this, and I would like to start shopping out gears before I lift it. What trannies came in the 2000's? Would it be the 4R100 or was the E40D still in there?

Danny

Re: Rear Ends

Can't help on the rear end but yes, the tranny is the 4R100.

Re: Rear Ends

I called a 4X shop, and they said the rear end is a Sterling 10.50??? My F350 has a Sterling 10.25, but not a 10.50?? He wasn't sure on the front end but suspected a Dana 50?? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Re: Rear Ends

Dana 50 in the front and the sterling 10.5 in the rear, gear sets and accesories for the 10.25 fit the 10.5.

Re: Rear Ends

Coldair,
Thanks for the reply. I saw your set up, and that's what I want to run. I did not know BFG made a 37"?? Do they clear ok with a 6"? I was going to run 35's with a six, but wasn't sure if I would have too much fender well exposed. Do the 37's look good, or does it seem to be over stuffed? How wide are they, and do they stick out beyond the body, or does it still stay tucked in?

Let me know,

Danny
