I searched the threads and didn't find anyone addressing getting the rear hatch open by disassembling from either the inside or outside. My hatch isn't locked(verified with a key), isn't sticking and is releasing on the passangers side but not the drivers side. I assume a cable or rod is off inside the door assembly. How do I get the door open?

I was able to remove the handle and trim and found the cable had fallen out of the clip that held it in place. It took a while to figure out how to get the plastic pieces off with out damaging them but I was able to do it. I took the top piece off first by prying it out with my fingers and then both sides. The sides have snap in clips that hold it to the door frame and will come out by fourcing them upward. The bottom stayed attached on one side. The side that didn't stay on I broke the bottom plastic hook on the trim. Luckily it didn't have to be there to keep it in place once I put it back together. I might have been able to get the bottom out without remvoing the sides but the corner clips on the bottom piece are almost impossible to unhook. Maybe by moving them back and forth and pulling at the same time might work but I didn't want to break the corner plastic clips off. Success!! Thanks for the help.
