You are right, you will gain no height. What it will do is make it a greater distance until you bottom out on the bump stop if you hit a large enough bump because that year bump stop is not as thick. I cut the bump stops on my 2000 X to keep it from hitting them on every little bump. I am now starting to look for some V code springs for the front because my stockers are crap.
I also have a question for all of you?? I thought most people were upgrading their front springs to V code as in Victor or X codes which are the more heavy duty ones they put on for snow plows. The typing I am seeing is showing U codes as in Ugly...is this right??...or do you all mean V codes as in Victor?? Please advise for I am beginning to search for some new front springs from some local lift shops.
