"Rear Sway Bar and Banks Stinger on a '02 Excursion"

Can anyone tell me if I were to put a rear sway bar on my Excursion, and later if I would like to add a Banks Stinger. Would I have any problems with getting the exhaust around the sway bar?

Thanks
Les Chow

Leslie,

I checked around and I don’t think that you would have any clearance issues with the Stinger tailpipe, but it would depend on how closely the sway bar fits to the axle housing. If the Ex is raised, then there is even less of a chance of a problem.

Re: "Rear Sway Bar and Banks Stinger on a '02 Excursion"

I have the Banks Powerpack on my 2000 X 4x4 (which includes the tailpipe) and had no problem at all. I also have the Hellwig bar. You will love the Banks setup. I just pulled 8500 Lb. Trailer from DFW to Albuquerque and back. Set cruise on 75 MPH and speed never varied and the transmissiom never dropped out of overdrive. Transmission temp. never got over 800 Degrees. I have an extra trans cooler with fan. Good Luck Jim Holley

I have the Hypermax 5" exhaust and the rear sway-bar without any clearance issues. The Banks kit will fit just fine.
