All of a sudden one day, my passenger side rear power vent window stopped working. Nothing happens when I press the button to open it.
Luckily it did so while it was in the closed position. Looks like it's off to the dealer.
Has anyone else had this problem?
your window is probably just stick to the seal. try the switch a coulpe times and it might begin to work again. If you get it open, slick down the seal with some silicone seal lubricant.

Yes I have had this problem! I was always able to "Unstick" the window and was able to get it working again. Then both windows started making a squeaking/grinding sound when opened and closed. It seemed to be worse when it was hot but did it no matter what. Last time I had it into the dealer I asked them to check and lubricate them as the squeak was annoying. I mentioned the fact that they had stuck ocasionally and the dealer them to check it. A few hours later the dealer called and said that they were going to replace BOTH motor assemblies and pivot arms under warranty. I think Ford has an issue with some of these units or why else would the dealer just decide to replace both of them. I seem to recall an earlier post that discussed this issue so I knew there might be a problem. So far no problems with the new units! You might see if there is a service bulletin on this problem. Good luck!
P.S. My PSD Ex. was built in Feb of 2000.

I have this problem, periodically, with BOTH windows.
I don't they are stuck because when you click the switch you don't hear ANYTHING from the back, which leads me to believe it's either the switch or in the wiring...

My passenger side stopped working first, and then the drivers side died. Dealer replaced both motor assemblies. The motors both sounded like they needed lubrication before they failed. Fiddling with them would bring them back to life, but I left them dead so the dealer could "confirm the concern". The new ones are quiet, at least for now. If I have trouble again, I'm taking them apart.
