My remote for the dvd does not work. Anyone have any idea the manufacturer of the dvd player? I can buy a universal remote but I think you have to know the manufacturer in order to program it.

The batteries leaked in mine and ruined it, I need a new one too...and to all of you who have one check the batteries and take them out if you seldom use it, I thought batteries of this day and age did not leak? I wonder if a dealer would sell these also.

I thought of that too but I thought in some cases you needed the original to program it, like you need to do with a garage door opener. It does not make sense though....why would you buy a universal if you had the original so I hope it works, let us know, I would do the same if it works.....nothing better than being able to watch and control the DVD while sleeping in the truck, I do it often and with my head at the back it makes a great "tent" I used plastic screen and magnets to cover the side windows so I can get some air....
