Removing the door panel, tips?

I stopped at a gas station and some idiot tried to break into my X. As the result I have a gap around the door handle and the door. I need to remove the inside door panel to pound out the kink and make the door handle fit flush. Any suggestion or warning? TIA.

Re: Removing the door panel, tips?

1. behind the lower light on the inside door panel behind the lense is a screw, remove it.

2. pull up on the electric window oberator and it will snap up. in that area is another screw, remove it. Also unplug the window controls. I believe at this point the panel will lift strainht up.

Re: Removing the door panel, tips?

Happened in Mesa, AZ. Corner of Broadway and Gilbert, at 06:00 on a Monday. I was in the store for less than a minute and heard the alarm went off.
