what are those needle bearings that I saw when pulling of the hubs on Bob Riley's truck? I repacked them with grease because they looked a little dry. I hope it does not hurt them

I think you are referring to the spindle bearings. After you greased them, did it have any effect on the ESOF operation? Just wondering since it is on my list of things to do to my truck.

Coldair, want to do mine too? Just kidding. When I did my rotors, I turned one of my hubs slowly and heard a tink-tink sound which reminded me of the post I saw some time back about Bob's truck. I'm surprised they didn't lube these. I didn't have the time allocated to do mine, and I even forgot to check my ball joints. Getting old. I doubt it would hurt the ESOF, unless the vacuum have to pass trough these bearings. Did you find it tough to pull the hub?

why certainly, just ask bob how many times I took the hub back off looking for the snap ring only to find it sitting on top of the bottle jack, and without even one frosty beverage. I did not notice even one bit of grease on the needle bearings so whats up with that? we did my lemon x and it was the same way, I think manufactures call it designed in failures.

Yes the is a spindle bearing(for the axle shaft) but wheel bearings are sealed. It shouldn't mess with the ESOF unless you tamper with the seals

Coldair: "oh dash it all, where's the bloomin snap ring. Ello, there it is" I suppose you remove the snap ring, and the 4? bolts behind the hub, and off it comes? I need to find out how the vacuum gets from the fitting on the spindle to the hub cover. I just wonder if anyone knows before I have to figure it out from the manual or as I go.
