Roadmaster assist spring

I have been thinking of adding the RAS to my 4x2 Ex. Does anyone know if there is any problem with the RAS getting into the rear air lines ? I have seen a warning for the superspring doing this but nothing for the RAS. I would think this would not be a problem on a 4x4 with blocks but my 4x2 sits much lower in the rear. Thanks for your responses.

When you say air lines are you talking about the rear AC? I would use the Firestone air bags over any type of added spring, they are great and when deflated they do not change the ride, plus you can adjust them to any load thru air pressure. I use mine all the time with many different trailers and loads and I just adjust them for each load. I would really like the on board air compressor, there are times I get too much air in and have to stop to let air out, a 10lb difference can make a huge difference.

You might want to check out this web page....

It gives comparisons of different load products on the market.

I LOVE the Firestone Ride Rite's on my 4x2 !!!!! Keep them at minimu inflation (about 5psi) when not needed, and have had them as high as 40psi for trailering when I didn't have the use of the equalizer bars.

They're totally adjustable for virtually any situation.

I have air bags on the ex now and they don't do rip for axle wrap. I am looking for something to help when towing and the ex walks all over the road. My question was prompted by my wondering if anyone on here with a 2wd ex had the ras system on it and if they had any problem with the ras contacting the rear ac lines under the rear of the ex on the passanger side? I know all about the landyot radius rods but was looking for something a little less expensive.
