Roof Rack Options...

Can those of you who have added roof racks post a bit about brand and models please?

All I have is the factory channels...Id like to start with just some feet and bars to perhaps strap fishing rod holders to for travel and eventually maybe a basket type attachement for gear and coolers etc.

There seem to be so many options so I figured those that have successfully implemented some would be the best to ask.

Any info/guidance is greatly appreciated...

I already had a Yakima system for my Land Cruiser so I bought the feet to fit in the Ex factory rails. There are expedition type racks available but I use a utility trailer for the luggage which is much easier than throwing it on the roof.

i have had the yakima system which uses the factory rail for 9 years . it has a quick release with a keyed lock.i have had at least 250 lbs and driven hundreds of miles with it loaded.i have the biggest basket they sold,could be bigger but has worked great.no problems,still very pleased

any particular yakima part numbers or is there basically only one that will fit in there?
