SCMT 80hp seems smoother than 60?

Had my SCMT for about a year now, always ran it in 60 because we tow every weekend and I am bone stock. Last week we were going to not be doing any towing for a couple weeks so decide to try the 80 mode. I swear the truck seems smoother in shifts, accelleration, etc. A first I thought I messed up some how and left it stock, but it definitely still has the extra power I'm use to. To make sure it wasn't my imagination I didn't say anything to the wife, and after she drove it, I asked her if it felt different and she immediately say it felt like it drove smoother.

I've seen a few comments that guys didn't like the 80 mode because the pedal was to touchy, but for us it seems just the opposite.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this with a SCMT? I guess nothing to worry about but I think I want to leave it in 80 mode if I can get away with it as the shifts are noticeably smoother.

thanks

Yessiree The 80 horse definitely helps it run smoother and the itchy trigger pedal is nice

We run the 80 all the time as we have intake and exhaust modifications in place to keep the EGT's happy so no worries here

Re: SCMT 80hp seems smoother than 60?

We run the 80hp program in our Excursion all the time and absolutely love it. As you can see in my signature we have not made any exhaust modifications and don't have a problem with the EGTs except at WOT. Pulling a 4000lb boat at 70mph I will hit 1100 degrees uphill, but that all. Your mileage will also increase in the 80hp mode over the 60hp.

I keep mine in 80 all the time and tow a car hauler with a willys jeep on it. You just have to watch the numbers. We just had the 30k service done and I deprogramed it and pulled the cables overnight, when we got it back the first thing the wife said was fix the truck so it has power again. when you return them to stock they seem like a slug.
