I have been trying to use the SCT Excalibrator II to program my 05 Excursion. However the Passive Anti Theft System (PATS) gets activated and after the program is loaded from the SCT to the X it wil not turn over or crank up. I can reprogram with the stock tune and everything will work fine as before. If anyone has sucesfully used the SCT tuner on an Excursion Please let me know what I need to do, or what can be done to bypass the PATS. Thanks

I'd call the SCT Dealer you got it from. That sounds very odd. I have a Gold system also, and it's a little cranky sometimes but I've never, ever had any problem with my SC 1704 tuner and PATS.
Unless there is something about the '05's. I know they have had a hard time getting power from the '05's. JohnBoyII found the truck was slowerwiht it at first. Not sure what he's come up with since then.

It might be able to get reset just like when you use the EVO. Try this after you program it:
1. Turn the key on but do not start the truck.
2. If the PATS light is flashing fast, wait until it starts to flash slowly.
3. After the light flashes slowly, turn the key off and take it out of the ignition for 30 seconds.
4. Try to start it again. All should be good.
