Security Box Location ??

I bought a used 2000 Excursion Limited, no manual and the seller did not no the 5 digit code for the external KEY PAD. I have a 2003 F150 and it located under the dash on drivers side, but i can't seem to locate the little black box on the X . Someone F150 Online told me it was back by the jack in the right rear, i found a black box with part #'s and some other #'s , but NO 5 Digit #

If someone could help i thank you

Re: Security Box Location ??

Go to your friendly (sic) Ford dealer and have them run a scan. When I bought mine the dealer had to do that to get my code. Once you get the code you can program your own code. Then the dealer code and your code will work.

Re: Security Box Location ??

The security module is behind the radio and heater controls inside the dash. It should have the 5 digit code your looking for. If not let me know and I'll give you directions to program your own code (I think it can be done with out the original?).
