Re: service engine light -WD chip

Dunko,
I do not always get the SES light, like I said it seemed to pop on going up a hill in OD and about 45mph while adding more throttle without it downshifting out of OD. WD is fantastic with customer service although there isn't much they can do given the map sensor is what kicks the light on. Usually I see about 23lbs max which is under the trigger point and the time I got the SES light it didn't register above 23lbs on my gauge, however I believe that either it spiked quickly not registering or maybe the map sensor may trigger under 25lbs. The main thing is to find a dealer that isn't afraid of a chipped truck so you can go in with the code and have it read. Once you know that it is an overboost, I think then if the light comes on under the same circumstances that it would be ok to do the battery disconnect to turn it off. Hope this helps.
Dave

Re: service engine light -WD chip

Thanks guys -

I spoke to the guys and western and they suggested I pull the boost tube. I did and still got the light. Mark you work for a great company. I say that because they made it very clear that until we figure this thing out the 30 day clock has stopped. I cant say enough about your customer service. Excurstroked I will take your advice and get the codes. I think my dealer will do that for me.
thanks again guys
