SES Light

My SES light came on while driving about 4 days ago. I unhooked the battery and it went out. Today it came back on. I have approxiamtely 95,000 miles on it. Are there some obviouse things that could cause it that I can check before taking it to the dealer? I already checked all fluids and connections? Also the the SES light comes on before I even begin to crank it over. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: SES Light

Do you know anyone that has a code scanner? I had that light come on on my X and I used the scanner to check it out. I said it was one of the glow plugs but I erased the code and it hasn't been back since.

Re: SES Light

I will try to go to an autoparts store and see if they can read it.

Re: SES Light

Mine came on too at around 95,000 miles.

I guess I will have to take it to someone to see what is up.

Re: SES Light

I believe autozone will scan it for free.

When my SES light came on before I cranked, it was a bad glowplug circuit.

The dealer replaced the harness.
