Shock installation

First time post. Thank you for all the great info. Ordered 4 Rancho 9000 shocks but only received rear. Installed rear today but had a question. There is a gap between the inside of the lower shock mount and the rubber part of the shock. The mount now rests against the metal guide of the shock where the bolt goes thru. The gap is about 1/8" on each side (approx.). Is this normal or am I missing some parts? Thank you.

If you are referring to the metal bushing inside the rubber bushing, that is normal.

The purpose of the metal bushing is to prevent squeezing the rubber bushing so tightly that it would cause binding. When you have the 18mm wrenches on those lower bolts, the Ford spec I saw said to torque to 46 lb. ft.

The front upper and lower are to be tightened to 76 lb. ft. I do not know why the difference.
