I've tried some Doetsch shocks and now have some bilsteins (actually from a 2wd F250, they will fit). Bilsteins are worth it, much less bounce, but the ride is 99% as good.
I agree with swhitney . I run the bilstein on my 2wd f350 drw and they are great. The stock ford shocks are all the same, one notch below dog doodoo

OK boys, I didn't go with the Bilsteins but I did change them out today to Reflex from Monroe.
Mission accomplished. They took the extra bounce out that I was looking to do. The ride stayed the same. Now the beast doesn't remind you that you just went over an imperfection in the road for the next mile!! I also got what appears to be a pretty good deal on them from NTB. Buy three get one free via rebate. Free installation as well. The guy at my local NTB promised that it would fix the problem and he came through.
Nothing bad about the Monroe Reflex,my father in law had a set installed on his F150 crewcab,I gotta say his truck rides way better now,so anythings better than stock
