Shocks and Springs installed - Pics

First off a big Thank You to everyone on the forum, all the information I was able to gather has been a tremendous help in making sure I was able to get the necessary parts and pieces.
Yesterday I was able to finally modify and install the springs I picked up a little while back. I discussed them Here - I was never able to fully determine 100% based on the engineering codes stamped on the springs if they are F, B or C codes? All I can say is that they feel great and the truck drives 100% better.
Along with the spring install, I installed Bilstein’s front and back that I purchased from CaryT. I can say after a 2 hour drive yesterday that the damping of these shocks is a great compliment to the modified rear springs and tremendously better than stock.
While we had the truck on the lift, we installed new front pads, rotors, flushed the entire system and installed new stainless steel brake lines. Unfortunately, I did not take a look good at the entire system and missed the 2 small lines in the rear, so we only had SS lines for the fronts and the connecting line for the rear hard line. I’ll get around to getting the additional small lines for the rear in the near future. The addition of the SS lines makes for a much improved pedal feel.
My Ex is a 4x2 and with the addition of the springs and shocks, it now has a slight rake to it. I’m fine with it and it is not noticeable at all while sitting in the truck or driving down the road. The added rake with help while towing and should allow for a more level ride height while the trailer is connected.
Another added bonus is that now the rear air bags are not always “squished” and appear to be much more functional.
I had previously installed a Hellwig rear sway bar … so, I think it may be safe to say I’m completed with all my suspension modifications.

I know it has been said many times here on the forum, but what a difference all this makes – the truck rides and drives great – like many have said … way did I wait soo long?

Here is a picture – the shade sort of throws it off a little, but I think you’ll get the idea.

J

Glad to hear all went well with it.

Stainless lines are my next upgrade; what brand did you use?

Also are you saying there are hoses at the end of the rear axle?
I know that there is one main line going to the T at the left of the Diff but Ifigured that was it, two for the front and one for the rear.

Let me know

Thanks

Bruce

there are two small ones fromt the caliper to the hardline on the axle etc..so 2 front calipers, 2 rear calipers, 1 front frame to axle, and 1 rear frame to axle so there should be 6 lines in a kit..I need to order some for my project too any sources?..I'll check with CaryT, maybe get them from him with his bilsteins
Thanks

Thanks Bruce - your past posts helped lots!

It's funny with the lines, every kit I ever saw only listed 3 lines total (2 fronts, and one off the Diff for the rear) They never listed the small connecting lines for the rear. So, yes, you will need more then just the normal 3 lines I have seen listed.

Here's what I did ... Took the lines off and took them over to the local Goodyear Rubber & Hose and had the lines made. The total was a fraction of the cost I had been seeing. Not sure if you have such a store in your area, but it may be worth a look.
I did talk to CaryT today and he will be ordering me the small rear lines, so Cary would also be a good source.

Hope this helps
Jason

My Ex is a 4x2, so I did had hard lines directly to the front stock rubber lines. Sounds like the 4x4 may be a little different.

No your Correct . I made a mistake. My 4x4 has two soft lines from frame to calipers in front, and one soft line from frame to rear axle, and 2 soft lines for the rear calipers, so 5 lines total...
Thanks
Deo
