Shocks/Sway Bars Update

Some current news on the shock/ sway bar situation for the X.

I spoke with a number of individuals today about the Edelbrocks as well as the status of the Bilsteins . Two of these Vendor/individuals had nothing to gain by fudging the truth one way or the other.

It appears there have been a few problems with some of the Edelbrocks.Whether this is within the normal bounds of percentages for manufactured goods, I really couldn't say. I do know that two different vendors have admitted to seeing some problems with the Edelbrocks (No! I do not work for, or have anything to do with Bilstein.....LOL) This info was not forthcoming but came out only after pressing them about it and asking them about a number of unhappy campers seen posting on the Net (these unhappy consumers can't all be Bilstein employees or perfection seeking anal retentives).
Maybe it was a temporary early production thing.
I've decided to wait for the Bilsteins as word is they really are "on the boat" (yeah right, "and I promise not to.....")....LOL
Supposedly, three or so weeks out from the distributor to vendors(we'll see.)
As for the Hellig anti-sways, The rear one is inch and an eighth diameter and is available now. The front one is inch and a half and should be out in a couple or three weeks.
Now don't you Edelbrockers flame me...I'm just stating info as I've found it. I'm sure YOUR shocks are doing just fine. I WAS surprised to find out that they don't manufacture their own shock. I own and have bought a number of Edelbrock products over the years (carbs, intakes, heads) and have found them to be good products in general.
