Side steps

I'll be exchanging my stock running boards for single side steps. Does anyone have any experience with what they consider to be top quality steps that installed as advertised? Thanks.

Re: Side steps

Do you have the OEM Ford plastic steps with the lights or the chrome ones that look like pipes? If the plastic steps, what do you plan to do with them after you take them off?

Re: Side steps

The electric step is too expensive for me. I'm looking for a simple, but strong, brushed aluminum step.

mmsafd:
I've got the plastic steps with lights beige colored. I planned on selling them if I find the right step.

Re: Side steps

Not sure exactly what you are looking for but I used to see some from a company called Carr. Carr

Stewey, thanks. I was thinking about adding a lighted set to my F250. Not sure how the tan ones would look. I bet the shipping from NJ would be ugly. Let me know when you get ready.

Re: Side steps

Coldair,
Do you have a picture and are these single steps? I'm not interested in nerf bars or running boards. Thanks.

Re: Side steps

I have a set of westin nerf bars on mine. I hate them.
Plastic cracks when subjected to ice and snow. Now no plastic plate and they are slippery. I liked the Nfab steps but can't find them anymore. I was thinking of going to the factory step with lights and biege colored.

I was looking at the N-Fab steps also, they are sharp. Haven't seen any of their step bars mounted on Xs though. Rocky Mountain Suspension advertises with the N-Fab and has a page or two with different N-Fab products.
