Some Googan questions

Having just purchased an X I'm doing my best to bone up on what I need to keep up with in terms of maintanence. Right now I'm a bit confused as to exactly which filters, lubricants and additives i should use.

What would be the best brand and/or size to use on a (currently) stock '00 with 50k ?

1. Oil
2. Air filter
3. Fuel Filter
4. Fuel Additives
5. Coolant
6. Tranny fluid
7. Differential fluid
8. Anything I'm not mentioning

BTW, a "Googan" is a newbie who really doesn't know what he's doing but wants to learn. Once I can get past this ugly stage I'll be attempting a few mods - a set of gauges being the first followed by the fuel pre pump and a tranny cooler.

Re: Some Googan questions

What would help others help you is if you have a signature at the bottom of your posts. People will know what you are putting around in, what motor and what mods you have done etc and I thought a googan was some sort of search engine

All of the above are listed in your owners manual. As far as what I use.
1. Mobil Delvac 1300
2. Ford
3. Ford
4. none
5. CAT ELC
6. Mobil synthetic
7. Mobil 75/90 synthetic

You should read you owners manual to find the exact fluids to use.

Re: Some Googan questions

Here's my list:

1. Mobil Delvac 1
2. K&N Aircharger
3. Racor (same as Ford) bought a case from DIS for a reasonable price.
4. Standadyne or Power Service when I use any.
5. Ford VC-7A (Gold Coolant)
6. Mobil 1 synthetic ATF
7. Ford 90/140 synthetic (I think) for the rear, 75/90 synthetic for the front.

Have a good one,
Dave
