SORRY ABOUT THIS------TIRES AGAIN!!!!!!

Here's the plight-----BFG KO AT's are nationally back ordered----I've tried every place in Nashville, plus the obvious mail-order houses, and no luck w/295/75/16's----

then I considered Goodyear 305/70/16's. No luck there either!!!

I have a PSD 4/4 X, with 550 springs, so I'm up about 2", and don't want to rub. I have 16x8 Weld SS II's. What would you guys suggest??

Re: SORRY ABOUT THIS------TIRES AGAIN!!!!!!

TRY THE BFG 315/75/60 THEY SHOULD STILL FIT WITH EXTRA 2" THEY ARE ONLY A HALF INCH WIDER AND A LITTLE OVER 1 INCH TALLER THAN THE 295.

OR DRIVE OUT HERE TO SOUTHERN CALIF. I JUST CALLED DISCOUNT TIRE YESTURDAY AND THE 295's ARE IN STOCK.

Re: SORRY ABOUT THIS------TIRES AGAIN!!!!!!

I just got my 305 GoodYears mounted yesterday. The shop that I deal with had the 295 BFG's in stock but did have a little bit of trouble getting the GY's. They found a set in Portland Oregon. The tires were shipped tuesday and mounted thursday.
Don't know what shipping to you would be like.

I did hear the same story about the back ordered GY's but was told that would be in stock here in town by 12/1.

Since we are addressing the same old stuff, I am curious about your 550 springs. I have noticed the front of mine being a little low. Do you have any pictures that you could send me. Did these springs level the X or did you put in blocks in the rear? How about ride quality? I drive a 1-ton truck all day and don't want my X to ride ultra stiff like that. Thanks
Corey

Re: SORRY ABOUT THIS------TIRES AGAIN!!!!!!

Aces,

If you'd like, I'll ask my guy in Miami If you want me to check on both sizes, let me know. He always gives me a friendly price.

Re: SORRY ABOUT THIS------TIRES AGAIN!!!!!!

CORMAN---The 450/550 thing has been covered a lot, so if you want more testimonials than mine, do a search. As for me, it was the best mod I've ever done to this truck----I did change out the rear blocks as well, and the ride is fantastic!!!! Sorry, I'm photigraphically challenged, so I don't have pix---but you'll find pix of the exact same setup all over this website.

SCOTPART----Good to hear from you---I was is in Miami last week---death in the family, and I didn't get a chance to contact you----next time, I promise----still smoking & enjoying those stogies!!!!
I'd appreciate if you'd check w/your tire guy, and email me a quote. I assume you are really enjoying the GY's, and suggest them over the BFG's.

Thanks all
