Spare tire covers

I just took off my spare tire cover. I almost had a heart attack getting it off! My X came with Goodyear Wrangler AT/S 285/75x16s and the cover was really stretched tight to get it on.

The point of this post is that I just sent the stock cover out to serve as a pattern for a new tire cover, something that will cover my BFG 295/75x16s and something that will go on easy.

What features would those of you who are looking for covers for your oversized tires look for in a new cover? What type of material: carpet, heavy nylon ripcloth, etc.? Zipper or Velcro? Would it help to have it adjustable so that it could cover several sizes?

I would prefer a reproduction of the stock cover, Carpet with a zipper and inner pouch.

I have tugged, smoothed, stretched and done every concieveable body contorsion to get the old cover on my 295's. No way, no how.

I think I would prefer the carpet also. But, I would like to keep the storage pocket for toe strap , etc. One other suggestion would be to add a pocket to the outside perhaps that can hold a typical X type tire wrench. I always carry one and its awkward to store. I will most likely being getting the BFG 295s so I am very interested in what you find out.
