I was looking under our 03 X and noticed a big thick leaf with a rubber bump stop thing on the end . Shouldn't that help with the wandering ? I would think though that it would help on one side only and open up on the opppisite side , So what if the rubber bumpstop wasn't allowwed to open up ?? Would it be kind of like having rods ?
Carlos
That thick leaf with the rubber snubber is the OEM traction bar. It works OK when accelerating, but that's it. It does nothing at all when you're cruising along or braking. And they're only installed on the 4WD models. (I needed to correct that. It did say "2WD". Thanks!)

Would a steering stabilizer help? I'm thinking of adding one myself. I've just heard they help.

They help dampen the steering wheel shake when hitting potholes, driving over railroad crossings, curbs, etc
Upgrading from the lil stock stabilizer ranks up with the sway bar & shocks mods

Actually I have a 4 Wheel Parts pretty close by and walked in to buy the ProComp ES2000,it was like $30 maybe $29.
Direct bolt in but had to rotate the stabilizer just a tad for it to have proper clearance lock to lock
There's a 4 Wheel Parts in the western part of Houston but some 20 miles from you dunno if you wanna drive that far
I've purchased from Summit Racing for many years and find their service pretty good EXP222570 appears to be the part number but my kit didn't come with the new bracket and U bolts.
