Re: Stereo

Eclipse double din head unit with DVD, NAV, sirus, i-pod cable, cd and fm. Focal speakers all around Jl audio amps 1000x4 for focals and 1000x2 for the (2) 10" subs custom mounted in the rear doors. X-box with inverter mounted in center console overhead rear DVD screen and wireless headphones and game controlers.

This combo sounds great in my X. Good luck.

Did you have someone here in town do that install? Sounds loud! Did you go with all six speakers or four? Sounds like a Car Toys job, just from the brands you have. I have a Pioneer Premeir HU, Sirius, JL XR component speakers, 2 Alpine amps, and a Alpine R sub. I am thinking about installing myself but if I could find a GOOD installer, I would like to work something out. Plus I want to look into a Compustar alarm.

Re: Stereo

Here's my system:

Eclipse AVN5495 Navigation/DVD/Sirius w/ 30gig hard drive that can store 3,000 songs
Eclipse back up camera
PAC Audio steering wheel control interface
K40 front & rear radar detector
Dynaudio 240 MKII 7" component speakers in the front w/ the tweeters molded into the A-pillars
JL Audio XR650 CSi component speakers in the 2nd row
JL Audio XR650 CXi speakers in the 3rd row
JL Audio Stelathbox 300w sub in the center console
Jl Audio 450/4 amp powering the XR650 CSi's & Stealthbox
JL Audio 300/2 amp powering the Dyn's
JL Audio Remote Sub Control
JL Audio Amp Kits
Vampire Wire Interconects
Canare Speaker Wire
Custom amp rack
110 sq ft of Dynamat Extreme
& a Clifford G5 Alarm to keep it all in my truck.

I'm amazed at how well the imaging is with the Dyn tweeters molded into the a-pillars; these are some awesome speakers. And the Stelthbox hits much harder than I thought it would, I had turn the gains all the way down on the sub amp. This sytem gets louder than you can stand with no distortion; just clean, crisp music. I've had some nice systems in the past but this is one of the best sounding sytems I've ever heard.

Re: Stereo

Carldawson,

A buddy of mine has been doing my stereo installs for twenty years, he is the only one I will let work on my vehicles. He works at Custom Car Stereo on the SW Frwy, he does sales now but does my installs on the side. If he can't do the install he can hook you up with one of their better installers. I highly recommend Custom Car Stereo, they carry only quality audio lines & know how to build a system around what you are trying to get out of it. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. Talk to Barry @ Custom Car and he'll take care of you.
