Still Able To Order An Excursion?

Yes, I know it sounds stupid, but my Dad id looking at a new F-250, and while he was talking to the dealer, his salesman (a personal friend for many years), he was told you can STILL order an Excursion. HELLO? Earth to salesman... or should it be earth to smokewagun? I thought this went by the wayside this past spring? Or, is Furd doing some neat marketing strategy to keep the Ex on the sidelines and only someone persistent enough to dig deep will find they can order one? Re: Still Able To Order An Excursion?

The last Excursion was built in September. Ordering one is easy, getting one built is impossible.

Re: Still Able To Order An Excursion?

Agreed. However, there are still several 05 PSD X's available and they are asking a premium for them. Try $56-65 for a Ltd. One dealer (dealers are car salesman) here in the DC area saw my ‘06Clone and actually put the same Lariat Chrome pkg grill and HD 20’s on the one he is showing pretending it’s an “06.” It is in fact stickered as an 05. Ford stopped production of X’s last year last year.

Re: Still Able To Order An Excursion?

Yeah, I figured he was shootin' Bullshoot. I am eyeing a 2004 Limited witha 6.0L now. 13,000 miles. The drivers seat barely has a wrinkle in it. Cleeeeeean. But, it's $39,000. Having a hard time justifying it at the moment, but don't think it's priced too bad. I'm sure it listed at about $54,000 new. We ahd the identical one in a V-10. Loved it. Regret gas prices going berzerk... we dumped it. Don't regret dumping the V-10, just regret not buying it with the 6.0L in the first place. We'd still have it today. Keep shopping. I have seen an 05 PSD X for under $30K. They are out there.

Re: Still Able To Order An Excursion?

Want to know where ?

on edit - try
www.ford.com
click on the Ford logo on the left about 1/2 page down,
select Search Dealer inventory on the left about 1/2 page down,,
then select the SUV tab,
and you should be able to follow the prompts from there...

and it will show you what is near your zipcode or you can select Find my selection.....
found 3 of them here in Dallas...

Re: Still Able To Order An Excursion?

Try again....
I guess the previous LONG link must have had some private queries in it....
this one will give you prompts to get there...

Also check out the Owners tab on the top right of the first screen....
download Owners manuals, etc....

Chevy Surburban's are hated just about as much as the Excursion by the tree hugger's, don't blame Chevy.
