still don't believe it - think we're now 6.0 exc. owners

Never expected to be posting in this forum for sure. I was so in love with the Exc when it was annouced that we even trecked to Mi to see them before they were out. One thing led to another and it just wasn't in the cards - I ended up with a dodge cummins - (loved it BTW). Wife just got car fever again - now drives a y2k expedition. She was never willing to try the excursion - very intimidated - we ran across a used 03 gasser and she drove it - she fell in love (After all these years of pushing and prodding) but it wandered terribly. Still looking (me secretly to get her in a crew cab dually BTW) we tripped over a 7.3 used 03 - dealer wanted price of a new one (another story) but got her to try it. Making progress she now had diesel excursion fever. (she is used to the diesel from my 99 dually cummins to our current "pickup" a y2K volvo 770 with a 500+ hp diesel). The dealer was just a pain to deal with (very long story) tonight we fell upon a 6.0 - 03 - limited at a local dealer and no arguing at all he told her invoice minus all incentives and 1000 off invoice. I was flabergasted. Told her go ahead and write it up. Only uncertainty is if she can get financing to get her payments down where they need to be - if that happens - woo hoo.
BTW - manu date was 5/03 and the engine had a 5/03 paper tag on the drivers side that I could see. I told her I'd prefer her go with a 6.0 5 spd - though admitedly have some concern over the issues I'm seeing reported here. Whew!!! I know I'm mostly a lurker - but I wanted to share this and celebrate (maybe). This a great place and has been so helpfull. keep your fingers crossed - and BTW - this dealer seems pretty good so far - I'm used to the "Game" and rhetoric and this has been pretty quick and easy. told him another vehcile caught my eye on the lot and he just copied the invoice and said to do my homework and give him a call.
(BTW -the reason I didn't contact the supporting dealers was that she had a trade to deal with and I felt it wouldn't be easy to work a trade long distance)

Thank you - and I'd be happy to send a couple pictures if she manages to pull this off - She is still have a problem getting the payments into her range- but I'm hoping for her. Drove by the lot last night (for purely unrelated matters <G&gt and found it sitting there with a sing in the window saying when it was sold and that it was proudly awaiting its new owners with her name there. Don't know why - but felt that was "sorta cool".
