SuperChips Microtuner=1211 Code

I have been running the SuperChips Microtuner High Perf program in my wifes X for about three weeks. Yesterday she got home and said the service engine soon light was on. I went out and pulled the codes and got a 1211 (IPC not controllable) this does not sound good to me. I returned it to stock and cleared the codes. Today nothing has came on. Is it normal to get codes when running a SCMT or do I have a problem? The wife is not liking driving around at stock settings she has gotten use to the extra punch the SCMT offers. Thanks in advance for any Idea's.

Re: SuperChips Microtuner=1211 Code

Programmers and chips will always set a 1211 code. This is due to the program raising ICP pressures to allow more fuel.

Re: SuperChips Microtuner=1211 Code

Re: SuperChips Microtuner=1211 Code

An "expert" told me this, so I'm not totally postive it is true.

the 1211 code, ICP over/under pressure is from coasting downhill, at a high rate of speed, with a chip. My wife was in the habit of using taking it out of overdrive instead of riding the brakes. Not a bad idea really, but she was popping the OD off at 70MPH! This caused the 1211 code. Since stopping this procedure, I haven't set the code again.

I do get the over boost code from time to time however....

My wife has never went down any hills to speak of since I got the SCMT. She just drives around town with her foot on the floor from stoplight to stoplight.

Re: SuperChips Microtuner=1211 Code

Yeah, well the important thing is that whatever is wrong with your truck, or whatever could go wrong in the future, is HER fault. Am I right?

Seriously, just clear the code and don't worry about it.

I am in the market for another super tuner but I can get one off of ebay from XXXPerformance for $269.00 so I think your $290.00 price may be a little high.

Re: SuperChips Microtuner 1705 for sale

Hmmm...
just looked on ebay and don't see xxxPerformance...
all the <font color="red"> 1705 </font> Superchips that are bidding are in the $290 range...
I really don't have any idea what quality a company name like XXXPerformance would offer me, but I KNOW mine works and will work on your truck...
I'm also just selling mine, not trying to make money at it... in fact I would be losing about $50 at that price! But I understand that it is 'slightly' used and know that someone will really like this thing!
Electronics either work or they don't work... it's not like they will wear out in 5 months...
I also know I'm one of the good guys and am a straight shooter - you get more than you expect from me...

Thanks,
John

Re: SuperChips Microtuner 1705 for sale

XXXPerformance is offering them right now for $269.00. I have bought two of them (one for me and one for a freind) from them and they shipped them right out . They are new in the box and XXXPerformance is an authorized dealer so the warranty starts from day one. I am sure you are one of the good guys bit I am just looking for the best deal. Be sure to click on the XXXPerformance at the begining if you want to see there listings.

FWIW my SCMT doesn't set any codes. (80hp setting) I'm not using the 1705 though but rather the 1700, so possibly that is the difference. I've driven the last tank and 1/2 stock and man am I missing it. I think you start to take the power for granted after awhile so I'm hoping to re-educate my butt-dyno.
