Does X and Powerstroke share windshields? The part numbers are different. Anybody have knowledge of the differences? Anybody installed a windshield in an X that had Superduty Logo in shadeband?

I have read many times that the Excursion and 250/350 share all structural components back to the B pillar.

That’s what I’m thinking. Can’t believe no responses to the affirmative. Guess I have to investigate further.

I think the roof line is different, My cab lights did not sit flush like the PU and after making a template I found there was a steeper angle at the windshield on the X. I would think the glass is the same though, why make it different when they are on the same line. There is only one way to find out and that is to set one in and see. The windshields are interchangeable. Usually the only difference is where the mirror bracket is located, usually lower on the X because of the overhead console and the longer interior. Also the "SUPER DUTY" windshields are more expensive and only made by Carlite (Ford) Insist on Carlite or if its not available L.O.F. are the only brands I would put in my truck.
Got any thoughts, opinions on PPG? They indicated they had Superduty Logo windshields.

I wouldnt put a PPG in my truck, they dont fit well and the moldings will warp and peel. The glass often has sort of a wave or distortion in it, mainly across the top. Usually its from the American PPG plant which unfortunately has very poor quality unlike the Canadian plant who's quality is very good.
Also, Carlite has not let any other company make the "Super Duty" or Harley glass.
Carlite installed today, no problem. As indicated mirror mount located higher.

You can move it or just add another bracket if its a problem. Moving is a little dangerous since you usually have to heat it and you could break the glass, but I do it all the time.
If you are in CO and need a good referral, let me know, there are a lot of shops to avoid. Problems like scratched paint, body/interior damage, cheap products, leaks, broken cowl/other parts, bad service/warranty, work that promotes rusted pinchwelds. A window replacement can be a big mess if the wrong guy works on it. Your best bet is take it to a big shop, they usually will have two guys on it instead of one mobile guy and have more time to do it without being rushed. And if something does get damaged big shops usually fix it right since they can afford it. Just trying to help since Ive seen all the problems above on one vehicle - quite often.
