Superlift Superide Shock Absorbers?

Any experiences out there with Superlift Shocks?

At the Minnesota Four Wheel Drive Association annual meeting in Gilbert last weekend I was a big winner of a free set of Superlift Superide Shock Absorbers! At least I think I'm a big winner. I've no experience with Superlift and my search of Shock options for my 2001 X seems to indicate Bilsteins as the way to go. My off-road truck is a 1991 Range Rover which does not appear in the list of products for Superlift, so the X, which needs shocks, seems a logical place to use the prize. I'm not looking to increase ride height, just improve and replace the current stock shocks. I can install them myself, so just trying them wouldn't be out of the question.

But any thoughts would be appreciated.

Jim

Re: Superlift Superide Shock Absorbers?

The Superlift Selectride shocks that they are talking about are Bilstein shocks. Superlift sells them as an upgrade to their regular shocks. I just lifted my X and ordered the Selectride kit from Superlift and upgraded to the Selectride shocks. They send you lots of stickers that say Superlift Selectride shocks on them but the shock is a Bilstein 5100 Series shock.

Re: Superlift Superide Shock Absorbers?

Good choice on brand, but don't use the 5100's unless you have a significantly lifted truck. I forget the part #'s for standard ride height, but check some of my posts.
