Any thoughts on dealers with the best prices on the new Edelbrocks shocks and Hellig anti-sway bars(in stock)? Does Rancho stearing stabilizer really help?
I'm posting a familiarity question on the main PSD board about Eco-Clean oil filters. Good, bad, indifferent. If you use one or know about them please drop me a line. Thanks.
IMDOK,
I did a search trying to locate shocks for my X and found the best price on the IAS Edelbrocks at one of the sponsers on the site, go to http://www.superdutyheadquarters.com
I checked eshocks and shock warehouse, could meet the pricing but come on some no name internet warehouse. Keep your business here when possible. As to your other requests I am unable to help, although I will be waiting to hear about the hellwig stabilizers!!!

I ordered a Pro-comp steering stablizer from SDH. Its supposed to be a direct replacement for the stock part. I'm hoping that this will control some of the lateral movement ovr big bumps and decrease the movement in the steering wheel I feel on some roads. I can't justify the shocks until at least 20k miles. Has anybody put Goodyear 305/70/16 on a stock Excursion rim. If so did this improve the ride.
Yes the Rancho steering stabilizer helps. I was pleased with mine as it made the steering much smoother. I don't believe it makes much if any difference with the sway issue. My 350 came through with no steeing damper. I put the OEM X damper on the 350. The X is much better with the Rancho.
If you can get the right coupon code from carparts.com you will get 1/3 off the list price of 74.95. Works out to $50 each for four shocks, pre-shipping. You will need to do a search to come up with the current discount code.
My Edelbrocks arrived today for the F350. They are going on this weeekend.
I understand Hellwig was designing a rear stabilizer for the X and I believe ExcursuionPSD posted a part number. I have not seen it available anywhere on the net yet. Will order one as soon as I see it.

Fall is a great time to go for an Excursion! Everyone around town is very excited over the Packers crushing 6-3 victory, they now have only lost 2 games out of their first 3.
Hellwig rear sway bar #7643, is $130 incl. freight from summit, it is available now, you may have to ask.
I think I saw you guys at the NASCAR race, try to look for your coupon from carparts.com/gift for 1/3 off up to $100 by 3/31/01 it is the one with code 1963005 on it.
You might also see if you can get a good deal on the whole combo from SuperdutyHeadquarters.com, one of our sponsors.
The Edelbrock IAS shocks for V10/PSD are
Excursion 4x2
front-rear 33225-34225
Excursion 4x4
front-rear 33224-34224
Remember, they install opposite of normal shocks: The Edelbrock Inertia Active Shock (IAS) needs the inertia modified valving on the rod to feel the action coming from the wheel, so rod end on the axle, monotube body attached to the frame!

Don't you mean that they install with the body up and the rod on the bottom? It's my understanding that Edelbrocks installed the opposite of regular shocks.

I thought Edelbrock had a differant part number for the front shock on 4x4 PSD models than the v10. Someone on this forum even let them use his PSD Excursion to design it.Also is the Ford rear sway bar on F250/350 SD pickups with camper option the same dimensions as the Excursion aftermarket swaybar ?
