Timbrens

I have the old timbrens for the front from 2000 Ex. Intalled them on 03 to try them out. These are the ones that rest on top of the spring. They do help keep the front end very stable for braking and cornering. The ride is pretty firm and you tend to feel more of the road.

Anyone out there still using these. I'm worried because they transmit more input to the body that I'll end up with loose body mounts.

Re: Timbrens

I have them on my rears, but had some issues at first. The metal brackets rubbed up against the leaf springs, and actually bent. I called Timbren and they sent me new ones that were trimmed. No problems since, but I still looking into airbags and/or add a leaf.

Re: Timbrens

The rear Timbrens don't fill the gap do they, only when loaded up?

Re: Timbrens

air bags in rear, add-a-leaf in the front for the best overall system.

Re: Timbrens

The only time mine touch is when I tow. Other then that the ride is stock.
