I want to change out the turbo down pipe and put on a cutout but I want to be able to return to stock easily. How difficult is it to do the turbo down pipe to the next "bolt on" exhaust joint.

If you cut it it will come right out. I cut the one on my F250 when I put on the 4" turbo back exhaust. I was not able to remove the factory downpipe without cutting it. FYI I am assuming you are putting a cutout on just for the noise. Just remember that the engine needs a certain amount of back pressure to make power. I know I had a 6.5L Diesel Suburban that had a sick kitty. When I drove it to the muffler shop with just the downpipe on the turbo spooled real quick and loud but the engine had no power at all.
