Will these tires fit?

Well I am the proud new owner of an 05 PSD X, so far I love it but am I am already starting to get the itch to upgrade it. I have been looking at the 325/60R18 Nitto Terra Grapplers. They are a 33 x 12.85 tire.

I read the post about the V & B code springs. They sound interesting but my first question is how is the ride. I have read several people say that with the spring changes that it now rides the way it should have from the beginning. Well how does it ride? Is it smoother?

To give you a background on me, this will be a family vehicle above everything else. I will also use it to pull an 11,000# boat about 170 miles a couple of times a year. Any other towing will be a trailer that weighs 3500# loaded. I have a two year old daughter and a child on the way that I plan on having both of their car seats in the third row.

I am happy with the front seat ride but my wife says that the ride is brutal in the 3rd row. I really don't want to bounce the youngsters to much so I want to smooth out the ride. My wife is only 4' 11" and pregnant. Even with the factory tube running boards it is a good step up for her. Therefore while I want to fill the wheel wells I would prefer lifting it as little as possible.

So my real question is will the 325/60R18 tires fit with the V and B code springs. If not what tires will fit/ or what size lift would be required to fit them. Also these tires are rated for 3,000# each. Is that enough or should I look for something that will hold more?

Re: Will these tires fit?

V code with an add a leaf, some trimming of the front valance and possible hitting of the "rear" of the fender when turning just right. I have 315/70/17 and I rub the inside of the rear of the fender, just for an instant so I live with it. I think you should mount one up and turn full side to side, this is what I did and really the only way to know for sure, make sure the truck is down so there is weight.

Re: Will these tires fit?

I have U codes in front and B codes in back, Helwig sway bars front and rear, and Donahoe Racing 3" lift kit which includes their shocks. I also tow a 10,000 pound boat. Tires are 295/75/16 BFG's (33 inches). No rubbing, it squats a little in back with boat attached but not excessively, but most of all, the ride is MUCH IMPROVED. This is the way these vehicles should have come from the factory. The impact over bumps is much less harsh and wheel control is also greatly improved. A no-brainer in my opinion. Once you do, your only thought will be why you didn't do it sooner.
