Wiper Blades

I just changed my blades to 23 inchs from 19. Now I can use the whole windsheild!!! What is the biggest you have used? I saw a 25 inch but it seemed too long.

Re: Wiper Blades

I put 21 inchers on my Excursion.....had already been back and forth to Wally World twice to exchange refills so I bought the whole blade replacements and wanted to be SURE they'd fit this time.

Re: Wiper Blades

I found that 22s cover most, I went with 23s just for the heck of it. It makes a huge difference, next the backwindow, which is really lacking

Re: Wiper Blades

I'm still a good 1" to 1 1/2" from the top of the windshield and not close anywhere else.

Re: Wiper Blades

I've had 24's on mine for 3 years with no problems. If you want another thrill put PIAA wipers on, the're great.

The wipers and the 4X2 lift gate struts are a great inexpensive addition to an X 4X4.

Re: Wiper Blades

About 2 years ago there was a thread on this board where a ton of people recommended Bosch MicroEdge 24" wipers (part #40924) in the heavy duty version.

Funny thing is, I don't know if I've even replaced my inserts since buying this new in Sept. '00!!! And I live in Houston where we get plenty of rain. Maybe that will be this weekend's Excursion project.

Re: Wiper Blades

Yeh Tailgate....that should take all weekend I never use the inserts, I just buy the arm. In MI if I had blades that were 3 years old I would be down to the wiper arm by now. Just kidding Tailgate It is just nice to clear the windscreen for once.

Re: Wiper Blades

I've got 24" Anco's in a regular blade and their rubber-shrouded "winter blade".

The winter blades work great at keeping the wiper frames from freezing up with the wet snow we get here in Oklahoma.

Re: Wiper Blades

I went with 24" front and a 17" back . It made a huge diff front and back . Especially the back window .
