X owners, Exhaust?

We have had ours about 9 months. When we first got it, we did not noticed any diesel smell inside with the climate control venting outside. Now, unless it recirculates inside we smell it when we are going slow, up to 30 MPH or so. Are others experiencing this same thing, is this something the dealer needs to resolve? We have a 04/6.0

Re: X owners, Exhaust?

That's normal when you have the air controls on anything but MAX as the air drawn in is anything in the atmosphere(gas engine exhaust, smoke, fumes, etc)

Re: X owners, Exhaust?

Hi,

I agree slow moving will let fumes get drawn in, however there is also a setting on the AC panel that will recirculate the inside air without having to run it on max.

It looks like a little car with lines over it. My wife hits it automatically every time we go past the airport sewage area. Works great too. : ))

That must be a feature on the fancy electronic heater/AC controller

If so my wife asked if we could swap in that for our standard knob setup,I told her it's abit more complicated than plug n play.
