1999 Van Questions

I just bought a 1999 Extended PSD Cargo, and I have a few questions. My first question is did these vans come with catalytic converters? next the heater/AC control fan only works on high wheres the resistor that everyone talks about and what size do i need? My 93 van has a block heater but I cant seem to find one this van. I haven't really looked into it but the power mirrors dont work, it maybe a fuse but I havent checked anything out. Any ideas? The last thing is the rear dome light doesnt work but the one up front does?

The resister is actually a Ford item. I'm not sure making one yourself would be worth the hassle. It is in the blower assembly.

Most common cause for power mirror failure is actually the switch on the door. Again. I paid $5 at a wrecking yard.

If rear light only doesn't work most likely just the bulb. If not, then probably the switch on the light.

You could change the whole blower, but I'm pretty sure the resistor pack from Ford is under $15. I think you pull the blower, switch the resistor pack, then put back in.

I'm not sure about the block heater. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

And no, I don't think they came with a catalytic converter.

Block heater is in the oil filter / oil cooler assembly underneath the drivers side floor attached to the side of the engine . Just look at the oil filter and its above it. If you are missing the cord it is cheaper to buy the kit from Ford or these guys . . . Your Premiere Source for Ford Truck Parts and Accessories
