97 E series single shot or split shot injectors?

I'm finding conflicting info with online searches. Does the 97 E-series use split shot or single shot injectors? The reason i ask is i have a new early 99 complete engine i bought for future use and would like to use the fresh spit shot AD injectors in my 97 if they are the same as i have over 200,000 on my current injectors. Build date 6/97

Just a shot in the dark... I didn't think an pre split-shot IDM can run the split-shot injectors.
