Air conditioning turns hot then cold - almost instantly

In my 95 the air conditioning will blow cold - really cold, then will turn hot almost instantly, then after a bit it will blow cold again, sometimes it will work perfectly for weeks, then all of a sudden it will begin blowing hot then cold again, like it has its own mind. Rear air works fine at all times.

Any suggestions?

I just started having the same issue....any luck finding the problem?

It also seems that on the highway I will have this problem but when I get into stop and go traffic, it stays HOT all the time until I get back to highway speeds then it gets cold again but then back tot he Hot/cold cycle. Anyone have any insight?

Mine seemed to start doing also. Just recharged system after I just replaced drier/accumulator, & some leaking o-rings in rear ac system connectors. (by the way, auto zone has a loaner vacuum pump!) I have a manual shut off valve, on heater hose, so I decided to try the turn off, & so far all seems fine. Maybe my blend door is acting up?

Thanks for the info guys! Anyone know where I can physically find this "orifice tube" on the van? Part number? Im guessing I will have to vacuum or drain the system then recharge it.

I never had mine out, but I see a section of line, over the evap box, under hood. I looked at youtube videos to figure out. The section where orifice inserts, is not very big, kind of looks like a 1/2" od line shrinking down to a 3/8" sized line, then into evaporator. Sorry I don't know my metric sizes by eye.
