Re: Anyone with new van plans..check this out!

Are you saying that the cab/van/body has to be pulled off the vehicle to change the fuel filter?

How much will the labor be to do that job?

That seems like a poor design. Will Ford fix that or will they leave it as is?

Thanks

I must have missed something. I didn't see a lift being installed.

You would only lift the body off the frame for major engine work. You won't have to lift the body for any filter replacements.

Re: Anyone with new van plans..check this out!

It was a joke people!!Gee Meant as tounge-in-cheek for only Ford would probably put the 6.0 engine in the E-van and leave the fuel filter bowl dead in the middle of the engine thereby having to remove the whole body to get to the fuel filter.(several engineer's have commented about how tight it would be for a 6.0 to go into the E series) Doesn't this raise anybody's eyebrow though ,the very thought of having to remove the whole body for a repair...my garage man stated that its all a part of the new modular concept that future vehicles would have: all internals in a frame(module) elec/steer/powertrain.etc...one power module is manufactured for several different vehicles and different bodies are bolted onto the generic power frame module...s/w/suv/pu truck...as info bd
