E-Series VansTechnical discussion of topics related to vans powered by any of the Navistar engines. This covers a broad number of years, but there isn't enough demand to split it any further.
I'am thinking of purchasing & installing the extend a fender Bushwacker flares on my van.
However, the lower part of my flame tips on both fenders are 1 1/4" above the lower surface of the fenders.
So,I need fender flares with a maximum of a 1 1/4" height above the lower surface of the fenders. The rear fenders are no problem as they are not flamed.
How many inches does the top surface of your front flares stick above the lower fender surface?
This would greatly help me to determine how much of the flame tips they would cover up and give my paint guy some ideas on touching up the flames to work with these flares.
The van will be "finally" completed around August 31st.
I told the wife I will not buy any more toys for the van except for a BTS tranny when mine goes bad and possibly Dana 70 axles, carrier and ring & pinion gears.
Oh,and also the fuel mods,nitrous,turbo,etc.
Just kidding.
I should be done with this madness soon.
Thanks guys!

Re: Attn:Quigley van owners with Bushwacker flares
Tom,
The Bushwackers are about 3.75" high. If you want to see some photos, there are some on the Yahoo Sportsmobile owners group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sportsmobile_owners/). You'd have to join the group - the photos are in the "photos" section under "fender trimming".
