Chip, Exhaust, Air Filter etc

Just bought a 2008 brand new, E-350, 6.0 powerstroke, cargo version, 15 Passenger. I would like to purchase a nice exhaust for it. Any suggestions from anybody who has had good experience with install, exhaust sound etc. I am looking to have the exhaust tip end roughly behind the tranny and point down. As far as a chip I will be towing with the van (21 foot toy hauler) loaded with dirt bikes and race bikes. At times I will be towing thru the Sierra (elelvation 6000 feet) Mountains in Northern California. Chip wise looking for tow friendly. Air box I don't really care. Anything will work. I have not done to much research. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I was told with a 6.0 liter engine that we shouldnt chip these unless we want problems. Also the Van has been detuned to a lower power then the trucks due to heat issues. The dealers will scapegoat your tunes as a reason to invalidate your warranty (at least they might try).

I have the same setup you have a 08 e-350. I find mine tows just fine the way it is. When towing a dual axle trailer with about 6000 worth of weight I can barely notice I have it behind me. I do also tow a bobcat on a deckover trailer with attachments So I have been in excess of 13,000 pounds worth of equipment/trailer. When I haul that much it works going uphill but other then that It pulls good. I did add rear airbags to help the springs.

everyone will tell you the 6.0 intake is best compromise for filtering/flow so leave as is. want a grass-burrner exhaust myself but i have a cutway. havent done yet. you want to see Jody @ DP Tuner for tuning of vans. i am holding off till warranty expires so i can "fix" all the 6.0 short comings.

I'm running an RBP 4" stainless exhaust with no cat, and I noticed some power increase. The turbo seems to spool up a little quicker. There's not much room next to the tranny, do you plan on running a muffler at all? I think it would get pretty noisy under there, especially with an aftermarket muffler. You'll also have to take the fumes into consideration.

I don't have a chip on my van, but I'm thinking about an SCT soon. Mainly to keep the EGR closed, gain some mileage.
