Excellent Fabrication . . . Also is the primary Turbo Stock ? Those shiney collectors on the primary Turbo look trick. Will the Stock Dog House fit over that ? What will you be using for the intercooler medium ? Water ? Regardless , I hope it will work as good as it looks !

Thanks for the compliments. First stage is a gt47, second stage is a gtp38r (ball bearing drop in). Here is a pic of the stuff I had ceramic coated.
I will be using water and a heat exchanger mounted in the grill area. Not sure yet, but I may add another a/w cooler after the second stage.
No the stock doghouse won't fit. I will have to make a new one out of fiberglass. Not looking forward to that.
I think the injectors I have now will be good for 525 rwhp with this set up. Been talking to swamps, I may upgrade to 300cc hybrids and 575+ should be doable. Not sure if I want to gamble that much with the stock shortblock.
That looks incredible. What kind of welder are you using?
Do you have an album of photos for us to look at?
Can we see a wide angle pic, to see both turbos mounted?
Has got to be the most incredible van mod ever.
I am using a buddy's shop, and his big lincoln mig welder to tack the stuff together. Been practicing at home with my millermatic and some scraps....I may just pay someone to put some nice beads on.
No album. Pretty much all the pics I have are in this thread somewhere.
Man that's looking good. Did you coat inner and outer or just the outside? What is the price to have that done and where. I have read about different coatings for different temps. Do you know what they used?
Talk about thinking outside the box. I'm doing that also, but different than your set up. Hopefully by summer I should have her done.

Thanks. It is coated inside and out. A friend of mine does a lot of business with LO-KO Perfomance Coatings. I threw my stuff in with their stuff so I got a really good deal. I can't remember the temp rating. The thinner uppipes dulled quite a bit, but the cast stuff still looks like when I got it. Quite a few runs north of 1500 degrees.
I will be getting the turbine housings and new piping done as well.
Use the original as a template, make a cast/copy of the end that faces the living area of the van. You could either cast a complete copy, I mean get one from a junkyardor use your original, coat the inside with the glass to get a shape.
You may just make two of them and cut one into 1/2 or 2/3 and join it to the whole doghouse copy. Then cut the inside part out after you join the two pieces.
How much higher is it than a stock unit?
Look at the job like cutting a car in half and stretching it into a limo?
Or place the original doghouse on the area, cut the hole out to allow the turbo to stick out, and make a top that is flat/even so it will not look butch.
Be sure to allow plenty of room so you can insulate the heck out of it. I have so many layers of soundproofing in my doghouse, it helps bigtime.
Can't wait to see it finished. You should send some pics to mags,

Thanks! It is hard to see from the pics, but it will be no higher than stock, just longer. The passenger is going to lose some knee room, but it is the work van, and I don't have a passenger very often.
I do have another doghouse from the boneyard. I think I will have to make this thing in 2 pieces so I can get it in and out of the van. My initial plan is to use the first 6-8 inches of the factory doghouse, and then extend it. I am much better working with wood than steel, so I "think" I can get a skeleton made. The fiberglass part will be all new to me, though.
Yes, I am planning some major sound deadening of the new doghouse. And the turbos will still probably be deafening!
So far no downtime with the van getting this thing together. I need to get a wastegate flange welded directly onto the 38's turbine housing. And I sold all my stock turbos, so this might pose a problem......lol
Looking Good ! I would vote for Aluminium instead of Fibreglass, Since it Would be more solid and easier to attach the Heat / Sound retarding insulation to plus it would look more trick and you could easily attach stuff to the metal rather than glass.

Quoting myself, somehow a set of 300's made it under my valve covers.
Looking for 575 now.
