Cruise Won't Work

I have changed the clock sring onad the switches on the steering wheel and put the new mode kit for the master clyinder switch and still have no cruise. Drive this 97 e-350 7.3 on the road all week long and the pedal sure gets to your leg after awhile. any one have any ideals.

Could be the speed sensor on the rear. Mine went bad and the cruize didn't work. My brake light was on too, but it may be different from 97 to 2000.

Replaced the speed control sensor along with the neutral safety switch have no brake lights on except when the brakes are on. the brake light on the instrument panel doesn't come on when the e-brake is applied and the horn doesn't work but will if you apply 12-volts directly to it , Changed the horn relay with another van that the horn does work relay made no difference.

Check the slip ring contacts in the steering wheel and the wiring associated with it. The horn and cruise use this to send the voltage to activate the horn and cruise. It may not be making proper contact due to wear or dirt or the grounding may not be good. I don't have a wiring diagram for your year to tell you which wire to check, but the steering wheel bundle doesn't have that many in it.

Good luck.
