Dead mouse in E350 heater blower fan in front does not blow very hard it seems

I put in a new fan and found a dead mouse in the fan blade that was making the old one thump and go bad. I'm thinking I should have reached into the opening as far as I could and tried to find a nest that is blocking the air passages.

It blows but you can hardly feel it, it's like it's on it's lowest setting. The cab gets warm after a while but it's not winter yet.

Take the fan out again and stick a shop vac hose in there and suck the rest of the crap out. Another solution would be to use compressed air from the vents BACK to the fan sealing off the outlet holes one at a time.

Thanks, I'll try that. -- Could that new fan be a weaker than normal one?

I took the fan out again, there is no way to get a vacuum in there, the opening is up and I can just barely get my hand up there a little bit. It could have a nest in there somewhere but I will never find it.

How about the auxiliary rear heater blower fan, mine doesn't work, do they normally blow pretty good?

I can't find the fuse box in my 1996 E350 XLT Club

I'm trying to find the auxiliary rear heater blower fan fuse.

There is a fuse box in the engine compartment and one under the dash towards the hood release device. If you can't get the vacuum try compressed air blowing it backwards from the vent. The rear heater should be in the engine area fuse box . . . underneath/beside the Drivers side battery .

Does the fan speed switch on "HIGH" produce full speed @ the new fan (but without air moving where it should)

If the fan speed does not reach HIGH, the resistor pack might be bad.
Mine rotted from moisture & battery acid fumes

No it doesn't seem to be going on high. The old one did with the mouse in it and banged like hell. This one just seems to go a little bit more instead of a lot more on high.

Where is that resister pack please?

I guess we think alike here in ABQ, I was about to suggest ordering a live mouse.

That's what happens when you send a mouse in to do a squirrel's job, or the squirrel cage is too large...
I see you liked the stangs too?

on our 2000E-350, the resistor circuit board is behind the battery, in the HVAC blower housing. Look at the HVAC blower motor electrical cable, then look further down
on the HVAC housing below the blower motor assy. at about 5 o'clock for the power
cable going into the resistor assy circuit board .
Ford sells a replacement resistor circuit board and a wiring harness repair kit (battery fumes had eaten all the metal on mine)
The resistor coils are actually on the circuit board in the air flow path for cooling, IIRC
