Diesel is cheaper than gas!!!

Unfortunately, it's not because diesel came down.

Went out yesterday, Regular was $3.17-3.35. Diesel was $3.01-3.07.

Premium was out of sight at $3.35-3.63.

And they say it will get worse in the next month.

Did the Republik of California taxes go up on gas? Curious, 'cause usually Wisconsin's gas prices are very similar to CA.

No, taxes are still the same. They claim the price rise is because CA has a unique blend of gas (to reduce pollution/smog) and demand is high for the limited supply of that gas.

Oh, and they have some refineries shut down for conversion to 'Summer' gas.

I guess the only thing I can say is:

We last had snow on the ground in 1975.

It was my first year here and I didn't know why everyone made such a big deal about a little snow.

Re: Diesel is cheaper than gas!!!

Just came back from a short trip on Monday, 12 Mar '07, and the most expensive diesel (that I saw) in the Austin, TX area was $2.89; the cheapest was $2.63. This was about .10 cents higher than permium gas. The gas forcast in Tejas is >$3.00 by summer; diesel will be higher. What a rip off!! The news here states that the new, earlier DST is responsible; what a crock!! We have a lot of politicians getting VERY RICH with petroleum.
