Does this sound reasonable?

E350, 200,000 miles maybe 10,000 in town still on original brakes blah blah blah oil changed every 5,000. Oh yeah, its a 1998.

On my last trip out of town the old girl developed a miss and lost power.

Took it to dealer and diagnosed as bad injector #1.

Picked it up Saturday and was surprised to see that a remanufactured injector had been put in... Pt # F61Z-9VE527-BRM ($526.81 less $180.00 for the core return. total parts 346.81) and 334.96 labor.

What surprised me was the use of remaufactured parts. Is this normal?

My second surprise was that the whistler was only putting out 10 lbs
of boost. Dont get me wrong, I dont expect this thing to last forever but in light of the way the van is used and maintained it worried me that the boost was so low. The print out said that tis was most likely due to the age and mileage on the van. I mean I wasnt thinking that 5yrs and 200,000 was that high for a PSD. Does this sound right?

My third surprise was that when the service rep called me to tell me what the problem was he said that if they found that more than one injector was bad they would recommend changing all of them and that they would have to R&I the engine to do so. Is this true?

Yup....they put a rebuilt water pump on my van under warranty. I was kind of surprised too. The new ones were on a national backorder at the time.
