What solenoid is it destroying? The one on the starter or the one on the firewall? If it is the one on the starter, do you have a mitsubishi or a delco starter?
If it is the solenoid on the starter, you might just have a bad battery cable. Excessive voltage drop will cuase low voltage/high current condition that wil burn the contacts to death in a short amount of time.
